The Estimate
What you can expect.

1. Call for an appointment. A typical estimating appointment lasts approximately 30 minutes.
2. During the appointment, your estimator will ask you some questions about your auto, your insurance company, and the incident that caused the damage.
3. A written estimate will be prepared using the language required by your insurance company, helping you to be able to collect on your claim.
4. Next your estimator will explain the estimate, line-by-line, so that you understand what's required to repair your car and why.
5. Your estimator will then explain the recommended repair process, order the necessary parts, schedule the work and help you acquire a rental car, if necessary. And the individualized attention doesn't stop there. Your estimator is available for questions or concerns about your vehicle every step of the way, giving you the peace of mind that someone is overseeing the car repair and claims process so you don't have to.

TOTAL LOSS INFORMATION

Do not buy a new vehicle until you have been notified first hand from the insurance company your vehicle is a total loss.

The insurance company will run their own market evaluation. Many times their market evaluations are very accurate, other times you may need written documentation to negotiate a fair value.

Remember to look at the retail value. This is the value it will take to replace your totaled vehicle with a similar one. The retail value does not include tax, title or license fees. Your insurance representative will know to add these items to the fair market value.
